About Us
Hey y’all — we’re Edward and Becca! For years, coffee has been our little way of slowing down and staying connected. It’s been part of our stories long before we ever met, and it became even more meaningful the day we had our first date at a coffee shop.
We didn’t know it then, but that moment was the beginning of La Vid. What started as two people sharing a cup and good conversation has grown into something we never could’ve imagined.
La Vid is our way of sharing that feeling — creating a warm, welcoming space where people can enjoy good coffee and good company, just like we did from the very beginning.
What is La Vid ?
La Vid comes from the Spanish wording of John 15:5 — “Yo soy la vid…” which means “I am the vine.” The verse goes on to explain that Jesus is the vine and we are the branches, and that when we stay connected to Him, our lives produce real fruit — but apart from Him, we can’t do anything of lasting worth.
That truth is at the heart of our business. Our hope is that the way we serve reflects those “fruits” in how we treat people, love our community, and create a space for others to slow down and connect.
